Mike LePond is best known as the bassist for progressive metal giants, SYMPHONY X.  In the last 17 years, he has toured the world many times over and played on some of the most critically acclaimed records in heavy metal history. Forty years of listening to rock, metal, blues, progressive, and even medieval music has given him a truly unique bass playing style. Because of this, he is one of the most sought after players on the scene today.

As a struggling musician in the New Jersey rock scene throughout the 1980s and 90s, LePond played everywhere and anytime he could, never giving up, solely motivated to achieve greatness in his art. in 1999 his dedication paid off when he was introduced to Symphony X. Even with this amazing accomplishment, he continues to strive for greatness.

In 2014, he released his very first solo album called MIKE LEPOND'S SILENT ASSASSINS; a raw, in your face power metal album that proved to the world he could master many more styles than the progressive genre he was known for. This release got rave reviews throughout the world and had metal fans screaming for a tour. His second solo album (Pawn and Prophecy) was released in 2018. His third record, Whore of Babylon, came out in 2020.

Between his accomplishments with Symphony X and Mike LePond's Silent Assassins, Mike LePond continues to be one of the most popular bass players in Heavy metal today. Writing, touring, and never compromising.
